He is an expert in the analysis and countermeasures against threats to national security, with a particular focus on intelligence, hybrid threats, terrorism, and extremism. His experience includes work in Polish intelligence agencies, government institutions, and research organizations.
From 2022 to 2023, Lech Wojciechowski served as Deputy Head of the Internal Security Agency (ABW), responsible for the division of analysis, record-keeping, and protection of classified information. From 2023 to 2025, he served as an Advisor to the Head of the National Security Bureau (BBN). He was involved in strengthening the country’s security policy structures and developing regional cooperation with domestic and foreign partners.
From 2006 to 2022, he held a number of positions at the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the Military Intelligence Service, focusing on the analysis, collection, and processing of information necessary to protect internal security, constitutional order, and the international standing of the Republic of Poland.
From 2008 to 2016, he worked at the National Security Bureau (BBN) and the Office of the President of Poland, where he was responsible for preparing analyses, speeches, and initiatives related to historical and media policy.
From 2001 to 2013, Lech Wojciechowski was also a research fellow at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where he conducted research on the situation in Central and Eastern Europe. He is a graduate of the Eastern European Studies program and the Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology program at the University of Warsaw.
